Laser welding

Laser welding is an effective method with many advantages. Play with the idea that you are welding at a speed of 4 meters per minute, in 2 millimeter stainless steel. You avoid problems with deformation and welding spatter, and you get an even and high welding speed. The fact that you can also design details for single-sided welding means that laser welding stands up well in competition with all other conventional welding methods. However, it must be remembered that laser welding usually places higher demands on the components that must be joined, and that fixtures are sometimes added.

With the same equipment, you can easily mark with laser, serial number, text or barcode at the same time as welding.

Our two closest suppliers operate with a manual laser and several robot cells and a high degree of automation. We also have the option of laser curing.

  • No subsequent direction, i.e. the shape changes are minimal, usually within the tolerance framework of what can be expected from a welded part.
  • No weld grinding, no weld spatter to remove, cosmetically fine welds.
  • You can combine different material types, for example copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al).
  • You can also weld, for example, 0.1 mm sheet in a butt joint against a 1 mm sheet.
  • You can perform plastic welding with laser welding, provided the plastics are compatible with each other.
  • The welding method is one-sided and non-contact, which also has its advantages above all in terms of design.
With active project management and a great number of providers we can always offer good service and short delivery times, with the least amoutn of effort to you.
